Mission

We are building the in-person mental health experience the 21st century needs.

About Orchid

Over 80% of people will experience a mental health challenge in their lifetime, so why is accessing help still so stigmatized and archaic?

We are Orchid: a venture-backed startup building the mental health experience that the 21st century needs, and leveraging technology to bring it to life. We're building tech-enabled mental health studios offering therapy and emotional fitness classes in a thoughtfully designed atmosphere that encourages connection and community.

The humans behind Orchid

Why join us?

Tackle an urgent and important growing problem in society

60% of people who experience symptoms of burnout, stress, anxiety, or depression never get access to the proper support. Help us drive down this number with world-class software and incredible in-person experiences that remove the friction and stigma around accessing care.

Create a community-driven movement

We are building a movement to shift the narrative around therapy from being something you only do when you're unwell to something you do to build & maintain wellness. We want to change the way therapy is perceived and accessed in our culture.

Help shape the culture in addition to the product

We're at the infant stages of Orchid and joining us as one of the first few team members is a unique opportunity to become a true owner and meaningfully alter our trajectory.

Open Roles

Lead Product Engineer / Founding Engineer

We're hiring an experienced software engineer to own and drive Orchid’s technology experience. You’ll help us build products that redefine how people discover, find, and engage with in-person mental health resources like therapy and mental fitness classes. As our first engineering hire, this is an enormous opportunity to shape the engineering culture of a new team preparing for significant growth. We are looking for someone who has a strong desire for end-to-end technical ownership, an appreciation for thoughtful user experiences, and an empathetic focus on the people we’ve set out to help. You’re the right fit for this role if you consider yourself an experienced full-stack engineer and someone who enjoys balancing user needs, business needs, and technical trade-offs in a startup environment.

As we grow and our product evolves, we will work toward leveraging large-scale data to power our matching & digital class experience (think Peloton for Mental Health) to expand our impact and are looking for someone who is excited about helping us make this a reality.

How you’ll make an impact:
